I went in to Children’s Hospital and did the echo. He identified an arrhythmia that he called atrial bigeminy with blocked premature atrial contractions. I went in for my ob appointment and when my nurse midwife checked her heart by dopplar, her heart rate was 70. A normal heartrate for a fetus is 140-160. She immediately called Children’s Hospital and spoke with Dr. Lewin. He made an appointment for another echo for the following day.
